The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is an independent organization affiliated solely with Rotary International. It was established in 1992 with the goal of providing leadership development to Rotarians and particularly those who are potential club leaders. Today, RLI serves more than 400 districts in 182 countries.

RLI training sessions cover everything from the basics of Rotary through how we prepare to lead and better our clubs. Three levels of the training are offered along with graduate courses. Trained facilitators lead sessions for all levels in which membership, growth, club image and public relations are at the center of discussion. Attendees leave the Rotary Leadership Institute with a better understanding of Rotary as an organization, and are prepared to serve their clubs in leadership roles.
